Hi! I’m Emily.
With over a decade of experience in climate change education, research, and community engagement, Emily (she/they) has worked on projects spanning Canada and abroad, including food security and climate justice initiatives in Uganda. She holds an Honours degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies, with a focus on Sustainable Community Development, and a Master’s in Poverty, Conflict, and Reconstruction, where her research explored environmental disaster relief.
Passionate about making climate change approachable, they combine creativity, storytelling, and gentle humour to engage audiences and spark meaningful conversations. Outside of her professional work, Emily enjoys hiking beneath tree canopies, chasing sunrises and sunsets, and spending quiet days with her border collie, Zaida.
Currently, Emily is knitting over 100 years of temperature data from Kentville, Nova Scotia - a project that bridges art and science, and that she hopes to share in galleries and classrooms alike, inspiring the next generation to explore careers in climate action.
Follow the journey.
