About the Project
Speaking of Climate Change is a long-term knitting project that turns more than 100 years of Kentville, Nova Scotia’s climate data into art you can see and touch. Each row represents one day of temperature, stitched in colours that match the warming and cooling trends across the decades. The project brings local climate history to life in a simple, accessible way, helping people understand how our seasons have changed and what those changes mean for our community.
The goal is to complete a full decade plus the current year. This project is still in progress and will be updated as sections are completed. Each colour represents three degrees, using the follows colour palette:
